It was just last week that we got the great news that Judy's daughters from Judy's Place were giving Amarillo a Christmas gift. They were planning to come back for one day, Christmas Eve, to serve their mom's wonderful breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy.

Amarillo was definitely excited until that was taken away from us in one social media post from Jamie, Judy's daughter:

Hello Amarillo.. There is nothing my family and I would rather do on Christmas Eve than serve you.
I regretfully and humbly ask for your forgiveness.
We hv been informed that we can only cook for family and close friends with the cottage law, food handlers and temporary permit. So we hv to cancel our burrito blowout, for now. We were astonished by the love and support of the community. We appreciate each and every one of you. I'm not giving up. There is always a silver lining. I hope we are able to serve you all in the near future.
Thank you all so much.
Before you get too disappointed there is good news in the end. Until then commenters were coming up with ways to work around the cottage law. Many people decided we were all family. We were somehow related so we could get a burrito.

If that didn't work other's suggested that they didn't sell their burritos and biscuits and gravy. They offered the idea of asking for donations instead. Both of those ideas were great workarounds.
In the end, though, neither of those was necessary. Jamie and her sister found their own solution. This solution came from another local business - The Doghouse.
A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO THE DOG-HOUSE!
BURRITOS ARE BACK ON FOR CHRISTMAS EVE!
BE SURE TO SHOW THEM SOME LOVE! BEST HOT DOGS AND SUPER KIND PEEPS! Location and details coming soon! My sister, myself and our children thank
THE DOG HOUSE for allowing us to celebrate our Mom .
With their generosity this wouldn't be possible!
Will update soon.
Be ready for Judy's Place to be back on Christmas Eve. The location and everything will still be found on December 23rd HERE. Just a heads up this will be a cash-only sale so come prepared.
Judy and her sister are very thankful for the community support and plan to give back:
My sister is donating a portion to cancer. I'm donating a portion to code blue. And a church.
Amarillo is excited for Judy's Place to be back for just one day on Christmas Eve.
