With Hodgetown opening Bar 352 at the Sod Poodles stadium there are many jobs that need to be filled throughout stadium, enough that a job fair is being held Friday June 12 at 10 AM and Saturday June 13 at 1 PM.

Tommy McFarlin from the Sod Poodles told me that applicants could be hired on the spot and need to bring proper identification-social security card and state issued ID or driver’s license. The hours are typically 5-11 PM during the week and Saturday and Sunday 4-11 PM.

The Concessions Attendant is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers at the Amarillo Sod Poodles stand. This position assists in setting the example and ensuring the highest level of guest experience in concessions and reports to the Concessions Manager.

Basic Function and Responsibilities:

Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a very fast-paced environment

Serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers in a very fast-paced environment

Proper cash handling including, greet and service guests at the registers, taking orders, and accepting payments, handling cash, debit and credit cards

Replenish foods at serving stations

Prepare food such as popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream dishes, and fountain sodas, using standard formulas or following directions.

Prepare bills for food, using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines; and accept payment and make change.

Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean dishes and fountain equipment

Inventory control: Assess inventory and assist in preparing product orders as necessary

Stock and restock items as necessary

Insure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age or older

Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated

Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with patrons about services and     products

Possesses excellent cash handling skills and knowledge of daily sales reporting

Adherence to a uniform policy and grooming standards -must present a neat, professional appearance

Qualified candidate will be a mature, responsible, dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Must satisfactorily fulfill all departmental training requirements

Must obtain food handler’s license, TABC license Is a plus.

Standing, stooping, and bending for long periods of time

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
