This year has seen its ups and downs when it comes to our local restaurants. We have seen several new ones open up, which is great for our city. We have seeen several close for good. We also saw a couple close just to get to reopen with new owners. It has been very interesting.

So when signs go up in front of a local favorite you start to worry about what it could mean. That is what happened when a "For Lease" sign went up in the parking lot of Yolo's at 16 SW 6th.

The owner, Yolanda Grazier, knew it was coming. She knew the news was going to hit the streets. You know how Amarillo loves to talk. The good news is that yes, there is a sign up but it doesn't mean bad things for Yolo's.

Yolo's was once just a little ol' food truck that took Amarillo by storm. Then a few years ago they got their own storefront. They have been just chugging along since then. Now the sign is up and the news has to come out.

Yolanda and the staff are moving. Downtown Amarillo has been great to them these past few years but they are going to be on the move. They have not announced where the new location is going to be but according to Yolanda, they will have a more centralized location.

They look for the move to happen around February or March. The owner of the building, of course, just wants to get the building leased again once Yolo's moves out. The move will be happening son enough and Yolanda is looking forward to sharing the news of the new location at a later date.
