What Happened? Johnny Lee Baker Vanished 28 Years Ago
The Texas Panhandle holds many secrets and many disappearances that still make us scratch our heads.
Today, the question still remains what happened to Johnny Lee Baker?
Baker was last seen on June 20, 1994, at his home in Borger, Texas. He called his son around 9:30 pm and after that, no one has heard from him since. His belongings were still in his home, his wallet, glasses, his clothes, and his car. The one thing that was missing was his garage door opener.
Baker was 47 years old at the time of his disappearance, 5′ 11″ with brown, graying hair, blue eyes, with a slight scar over his left eye. He would be 75 years old now.
Baker was a prominent person in Borger. He was employed as a pharmacist in 1994.
Oddly, another Borger resident who lived near Johnny Lee Baker disappeared in January of 1993, David Glenn Lewis. Lewis was an attorney that disappeared from his home on Super Bowl Sunday and was found 11- years later as a deceased John Doe in Washington state. Are these cases related, probably not, but it seems weird.
Twenty-eight years later, the disappearance of Johnny Lee Baker still remains a mystery. As with any disappearance, somebody knows something. He didn't just vanish into thin air.
Even though this is a cold case if you have any information about the disappearance of Johnny Lee Baker, you can contact the Borger Police Department. Who knows, it could help them find the answers his family and friends have been searching for 28 years later.
