Amarillo’s Absolute Worst, Trickiest, and Flat Out Dangerous Intersections

Traffic is awful. Amarillo traffic is even worse.

With all the construction everywhere it's hard enough to get around town. But then you toss in all the intersections with their near-misses and it's a wonder that we're still alive to tell the tale.

Now, I've got a list of terrible intersections that I can give you, but first let me introduce a newcomer.

The Newest Most Dangerous Intersection in Amarillo

Arden Rd & 335.

The intersection that's so bad that TXDOT and the City of Amarillo are actually doing something about it.

Seriously

If your child goes to West Plains, then you've experienced the terror for yourself.

It's awful. And it's frightening.

And thankfully, it may change soon.

A new traffic pattern has been put in place in the weeks leading up to the start of the school year. The TXDOT, city of Amarillo, and West Plains High School officials will reconvene to decide if it's worth implementing permanently.

Since that troublesome intersection will be patched up soon (in theory), we might as well pay homage to the classics.
