Amarillo Business News: Ziggi’s Coffee Shuts Down

The landscape of Amarillo seems to always be changing. One day, a business is open, and the next it is closed. Literally, that is the case for one coffee shop in Amarillo.

Ziggi's on VFW Road opened for business a little over nine months ago. Their official opening day was June 10, 2025. So for these past nine months, people in that area were able to get good coffee, breakfast, bread, and even a cake pop.

Sudden Announcement: The Social Media Post That Shocked Fans

All of that is changing with a sudden announcement. Ziggi's took to social media late Tuesday to let everyone know that they were closing the next day.

To Our Amarillo Community,

We want to share that this Ziggi’s Coffee location will be closing its doors starting Wednesday, March 25th.
We understand this news may come as a surprise, and we know how much this location has meant to many of you. This was a difficult decision made by the local ownership team, in part due to health circumstances.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support, friendships, and memories built here. It has truly been a privilege to serve this community.

A Double Departure: VFW Road and Hillside Both Shut Down

The bad news doesn't end there. Someone asked about the Ziggi's on Hillside, and it seems that page has also listed the same message. We are losing both locations on VFW and the one on Hillside, and it is happening fast.

We hate to see that for the community. We hate to see any business go out of business. Maybe someone will come in and bring them back, but for now, this is the end of the road for Ziggi's in Amarillo.
