A Christmas Miracle in Amarillo is Happening for Breakfast Lovers

If you have lived in Amarillo for any amount of time there are times that just the mention of certain food items brings back so many memories. You wouldn't think that we have that much of an attachment to foods that we miss but we do.

For example, the mention of Country Pride's enchiladas brings us back. How about an Arnold's burger? Anytime there is a discussion online about missed restaurants those are mentioned.

Here is another one. Brace yourself. What do you think when you hear the words, Judy's burritos? Does that take you back? How about Judy's biscuits and gravy? Both of those just screams take me back.

Judy's had been a part of a lot of family's lives. Really they were. Any time my daughter had to take a big test and I let her get whatever she wanted for breakfast it was always Judy's burritos. They were simply the best and still missed all of these years later.

Sweet Judy passed away back in 2022 and we all hope she knows how much she meant to us here in Amarillo. Anyone who has stepped through those doors on 27th have memories of Judy and the great food.

Social media blew up recently when Judy's daughter made what I can only call the post of the year. We have one day to enjoy Judy's breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy again:

Get your taste buds ready. We will be making the original giant breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy
Christmas Eve. In honor of our Momma, Judy!
8am pick up time. No orders just making a ton of em.
First come first serve. Will disclose pick up location
On 12-23! Ty for all your years of being loyal customers!

I'm so tickled by the response to this. Mom would be so happy with the support from you all.
We will be charging $8 for single meat. $9 for combos and $7 for biscuits and gravy.

You can understand how those simple words sent us all into a tizzy. Judy's burritos again?

I had to reach out and ask the question, since the photos they posted showed the red sauce, will they have the green sauce too? If you have had the green sauce you know just how wonderful that stuff was. I have not found anywhere that serves a sauce like that. I have been on the search.

When I asked about the green sauce I was told that they would have it, what I wouldn't give for the recipe to make it. So I am sure a lot of us in Amarillo will be waiting anxiously on December 23rd to find out the location of the sale.
