Amarillo Police Offer Thanksgiving Safety for Pets
There is a lot going on this week. There will be a lot of gatherings. A lot of moving around. A lot of people are in and out of different homes. With all of that movement, there are a lot of chances to not keep an eye out on an important part of your family.
There are a lot of homes in Amarillo with at least one pet. Many have a home full of them. The more the merrier is the way a lot of us see it. So we want to make sure that they are safe with everything going on this week.
Thanksgiving has a lot of food out and some may not be safe for our furry friends. So those need to be kept out of the way. The last thing you want is a trip to an emergency vet on Thanksgiving because your dog got into the chocolate.
Not only that but with all of the family that may be coming in and out of your door over the next week there are chances that a door may be left open. Another nightmare would be missing an animal over this week.
The Facebook lost pets pages may be overrun with lost pets. So let's do our best to help keep this from happening. Be vigilant in making sure there are no kids running in the house and leaving the door open.
The Amarillo Police have more suggestions to help your pets stay safe this Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is a fun but busy time but with a little help, we can make sure everyone is safe. We can make sure everyone enjoys this holiday season.
