I do a lot of driving around Amarillo. I always have. I like to check out my town and see what is changing. I like to check out the new businesses and see what may have closed. I guess I kind of like to just take it all in.

I do a lot more driving these days since I took up delivering for DoorDash and Uber Eats. It helps me stay in the know and make some money. I have been keeping up with some of our local businesses that are working on some changes.

One is Tea N'Ergy. They had reached out to me letting me know that they had bought a few water kiosks and they had plans to update them and make sure some have card readers. This was a problem I had noticed around Amarillo. I always have a credit or debit card. I hardly ever have cash and I seem to always need water.

So driving around I have noticed some of their newer locations. One of them being on Gem Lake Road. Like I said I notice things. I had it on my to-do list to see if any of them have card readers yet. The one thing I know is that I don't have to stop at the one on Gem Lake for the time being.

No, they are a bit out of commission. This is what I saw courtesy of their Facebook page:

I'm not quite sure how that happened. They even plowed through the barriers that were supposed to protect the water kiosk. Amarillo you need to slow down. I don't know if the driver was on their phone but we need to pay attention a bit better.

Luckily nobody was hurt and like they say things can be replaced. It's still a shame that it happened. Hopefully, they get this location up and running again soon. Oh, and I would be OK if it ends up with a card reader too.
