I took to using the internet the way it is supposed to be used. No, I wasn't attacking anyone's beliefs. I was not trying to hook up with someone. I was trying to find a solution for something that I deemed a problem in our city.

An inconvenience really. I could not find any water stands around town that had card readers. Yes, I know there are businesses where I could bring my five-gallon water jugs for filling. I was not wanting to pay five dollars for each jug I had. I know I will have to pay more than the dollar-fifty I am used to but not as much as five. I drink way too much water to make that cost-effective.

So I put it out there. What I didn't expect was there to be a solution on the way. First I did hear from the sisters at That Weird Place who said that there was one already that they found in Amarillo. I am going to have to drive and check it out. They said:

Some of them do have card readers! The one at Plains & Western doesn't have one but the one at 58th & Western does have a card reader and I'm pretty sure it's new.

OK, I will have to verify that when I need water filled up this weekend. I am excited. Oh, but then I saw even better news from Tea2go TeaN'ergy Amarillo:

Melissa!!! I have some great news. Tea2go TeaN'ergy Amarillo is in the process of acquiring several small water kiosks around town. Our 1st step is to make sure all equipment is properly updated & the next step will be to add CC readers. Follow along with our progress. I know your readers would love a happy update to this story.

This news made me even more excited. I will no longer have to buy one-dollar bills from my daughter who is a server just so I have water money. I won't have to make a trip to the bank to get ones. I can use my debit or credit card as I do in Dallas. Amarillo is catching up.

I am hoping that there will be one near my most traveled areas. Fingers crossed to see one in the Wolflin/Bivins area. I will also be fine with one being near 34th and Bell. I am just so happy about this update and will be watching for it to happen. I will be waiting with my five-gallon jugs in tow.
