Amarillo Restaurant Asks for Good Clean Help All the Way Around
Owning a restaurant here in Amarillo can be tricky. They love you. They hate you. They love you again. Then a year like this happens and I have seen a lot of local business owners talk about how tough this year is. So if you can get out and support your Amarillo friends.
They would appreciate it and we won't have to feature them in a story about their sudden demise. There is nothing we like less than that. This year has been tough enough with places closing. I know it's the circle of life and all of that but it does hurt when one of your favorite places close. Especially when you do your duty and visit them when you go out.
Some places take to social media when they want or need to get a message across. I mean it does get the point out to people that follow them so that is good. Recently Green Chile Willy's did just that.
We have featured them several times because, well, they have a great sense of humor. I love to see a good job posting. There are other times that they just hope their message can be heard. This is one of those times.
Apparently there have been some issues with parents not necessarily keeping an eye on their kiddos. I get it. You are out with friends trying to relax and your kiddos lose control. If you want to relax, get a babysitter. Don't let your little ones overrun everyone else. I love kiddos. I really do. We go out to eat with my granddaughter, who is almost three, all of the time. We do not let her run around. If she starts acting restless we take her outside. It's part of parenting.
On the flip side, I am known for having a colorful mouth every now and then but there is a time and a place. Green Chile Willy's is reminding you that they are not the place so find another time to let those words fly. There are little ears all around and hopefully, they are not running and climbing all around your table.
They also want to remind you that a pet is a pet and a service animal is just that. There is a difference and they are ok with your service animal but they have enough kids running around and they are trying to curb that. They don't need your dog doing so too.
Help a local business out and just know you are appreciated but sometimes we need to just all calm down. Oh, and if you don't get his joke about the applications you just don't pay enough attention to a certain Facebook group here in Amarillo.
