Amarillo’s Update to the Five Guys on Soncy Opening

It's been over a year since Amarillo started buzzing about a second Five Guys Burgers and Fries location. The one on Georgia Street seems to do a lot of great business. I know because I am there an awful lot picking up DoorDash orders and driving them all over Amarillo.

A second location would be nice. It is supposed to be happening on Soncy in the same shopping center as the O'Reilly Auto Parts. As often as I drive by I always glance over to see if I notice any work being done.

I haven't noticed anything so it got me to wonder. Is it ever going to happen? I know that the work being done is probably on the outside and I might not necessarily notice. So that doesn't mean all hope is lost. So when I was out delivering food last night I thought I would ask the question.

What is Going on With the Five Guys on Soncy?

It's a valid question. I know I am not the only one wondering. We have had other stories out there that people have asked this exact question. There will be a lot of people who live and work near that location who are very curious.

Yes, it is still happening. They were hoping to have it ready to open towards the end of this year but that is not happening. They are shooting for the first quarter of 2025. So really that is good news.

The Five Guys Burger and Fries on Soncy is still happening and the hopes are that it will open in the next several months. I will continue to keep an eye on the building for more signs. I will get really excited when I see signage on the building. Fingers crossed it is soon.
