So we all know that Kanye West has gotten himself in a bit of trouble recently. Companies are dropping him left and right. Nobody wants to be associated with him. Kanye runs his mouth. That is what he does. Yes, there is free speech but it doesn't keep you from facing those consequences.

When the news came out that Adidas dropped him it got me thinking. My daughter got a pair of his Yeezy shoes for Christmas last year. She maybe wore them twice. If that. Her boyfriend got them for her. Oh, and they were expensive.

I just couldn't believe a pair of shoes cost that much. I think they were around $300. For shoes. Plus I thought they were ugly. But here I am not as cool I guess as the young kids.

So when Adidas said they were going to drop them I wondered what that would do to the value of the shoes. I mean they might be ugly but they might also be worth some money.

Then Adidas said they weren't going to stop making the shoes. Ugh, that squashed my dreams. Oh, wait they are just going to take Kanye's "Yeezy" name off of the shoes.

Hold up. That might make the pair of shoes my daughter has even more valuable. So I did go home and made sure they were in pristine condition. They are. I then put these ugly shoes on a top shelf. I mean if they are going to be worth something maybe someday I want them to look as good as they can.

They are in the box. They have all the stuff that came in the box including the GOAT sticker. Maybe my daughter just hit the jackpot. I am hoping so. Maybe these ugly shoes can help put my granddaughter through college.
