Dreams of Hollywood? Shannen Doherty Can Help You in Amarillo

You might not think that Amarillo is the place for Hollywood dreams to get their start. You would be wrong though. Long gone are the days when you have to be in California to get the training you need to make your dreams come true.

Do you have dreams of making it big? Maybe you have always wanted to be in a movie. You just need to have some pointers when it comes to acting. Maybe your dreams are of becoming a director. Either way, we do have just the thing right here in Amarillo.

Sharpened Iron Studios here in Amarillo has brought us some great things. We had a great red carpet-event back in early December. There were Hollywood types here in our great city.

Amarillo is about to be invaded by Hollywood again. This time they are coming to help get you that start that you are looking for. The Film Foundry, which is a trade school helping you to get your start. Oh, and it is here in Amarillo as part of Sharpened Iron Studios.

They are bringing Shannen Doherty to town in February to help you with your acting skills. Yes, that Shannen Doherty. Like there could really be another. You probably watched her on one of her many projects.

I remember her first on Little House on the Prairie. Then of course I loved her as Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210. She was great as one of the Heathers in Heathers. Of course, she was also in Charmed. She has a lot of acting ability and a lot of roles that she would be perfect to learn from.

I don't know how I didn't realize that her brother, Sean, is who started up Sharpened Iron Studios. It is all making sense now. Oh, and a great opportunity to learn from those who know Hollywood.

They are offering the Acting Workshop on February 4th, here in Amarillo. You can also get a taste of directing in a separate Workshop on the 3rd. You can sign up for one or both HERE.

Even if acting is not your thing I would venture to guess it would so be worth the registration fee to hang out with Shannen Doherty for a few hours in February.
