Guns and Drugs – Just Another Day at a Borger Golf Course?
I guess when you plan for a nice day out at the golf course you don't expect the sight that happened at a Borger golf course recently. I mean you expect to see a lot of people enjoying a friendly game.
I mean the weather is starting to get really nice so that means more people playing hooky from work. You expect to see a few enjoying a cold beverage while they are playing.
What you don't expect to see is a massive drug bust. I mean this one had it all. Early this morning the Hutchinson County Swat Team headed out to the golf course. They knew they weren't looking forward to eighteen holes. Nope, not today.
You Don't Expect to See a Drug Raid Out on a Golf Course
They had a mission. In this mission, they were able to see it all. Oh, and right on The Phillips Municipal Course which is where this all happened early Monday.
The raid brought them a haul. They found methamphetamine, cocaine, amphetamine pills, marijuana, and a stolen AR-15 in a home. An AR-15, yes. All at a home on the golf course. They were able to arrest two people early this morning during this raid.
The Borger Police took in Damien Lee Kemp, 36 charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and theft of a firearm. This raid also saw the arrest of Joslin Danae Zuniga, 20, being charged with possession of a controlled substance.
So while some were making plans to go out and enjoy this beautiful President's Day there were a couple of people getting ready to spend some time in jail.
