Is Chick-fil-A’s New Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich a Tasty Triumph?

I have a mantra that I tend to go by. In Chick-fil-A we trust. I know it's a fast food place. Oh, but I think they are doing things a bit different. I mean they have made "my pleasure" a known response to anytime a guest says thank you.

They have mastered a way to keep a line of cars waiting for chicken from just taking forever. Yes, they have figured things out. So when they introduce something new I trust that I need to try it. I just do. Especially when it is a new sandwich.

The last one I tried is my absolute favorite. If I had one complaint it is that they bring their spicy grilled chicken sandwich back on a permanent basis. I love spicy so I loved that sandwich. I need that goodness in my life all of the time.

I pretty much believe any sandwich they introduce has got to be good. Even if it includes something I have never in my life had. Like pimento cheese. Never had it. Not that I was against trying it. I just didn't have any idea how it would taste.

So this announcement was something I was interested in:

A Honey Pepper Pimento sandwich. Well it had jalapenos on it so I knew it couldn't be all bad. So of course it was put on the menu recently and I had to go day of to try. I just knew it was Chick-fil-A so why not?

According to their description it has pimento cheese, pickled jalapenos, a drizzle of honey and the juicy chicken you know and love. OK, sounds interesting.

You get to choose the kind of chicken you want. An original chicken breast, spicy or grilled. My brain told me to get grilled. It's a bit healthier. Oh, but my heart said spicy, since there are also jalapenos.

So my heart won out and I got the spicy. I took it home and gave it a try. Again, I have never had pimento cheese so I really didn't know what to think. It's a cheese so how could that be bad?

So I decided when I took my first bite that I did like pimento cheese. That with the hint of honey and that spice with the jalapenos. Yep, give me some of that. I loved it paired with the spicy chicken. Good choice.

Would I have it again? Probably. I think next time I will try it with the grilled chicken breast. See which one I like better. If I had to have just one complaint about my meal. I ended up with more of the crunchy crumbles in my fry box instead of full waffle fries. It happens.

I ate most of them before I decided to take a picture because they are Chic-fil-A waffle fries and even the crumbles are good.
