Mark Your Calendar: Canadian River Music Festival Announces 2026 Date

There is just something about a day outside, filled with live music. The Texas Panhandle is home to many music festivals. Music lovers from all over the area flock to different towns to enjoy music. One of those musical traditions is the Canadian River Music Festival.

What Happened with the Canadian River Music Festival?

Last year, we shared with you that the music festival had been canceled for 2025. In early 2025, the Canadian River Music Festival announced that it was moving from June to October. However, the event never happened because they canceled the music festival.

Why Was CRMF Cancelled Before?

This isn't the first time the organizers have canceled the event. It was first cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic shutting the world down. Then it was canceled again, in 2021, because COVID was still shutting down big gatherings.

What to Expect at CRMF 2026

Now for 2026, the CRMF just announced that the event will happen. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 17, 2026. They announced with a lone graphic including the logo and date. The announcement didn't have any teasers of potential acts. They didn't even give a hint of who would be playing, but that's usually how festival announcements work. They will slowly tease with the opening acts, and then BOOM! They will announce the headliner, and everyone cheers.

Artists Who Have Played the Canadian River Music Festival

Artists in the past have included Blackhawk, Sawyer Brown, Flatland Cavalry, William Clark Green, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Casey Donahew, and the great Robert Earl Keen. We'll just have to wait and see who is coming in October.
