If you drive around Amarillo and especially Sixth Street you can take a trip down memory lane. You can relive places that used to be there. There are shops and restaurants that have come and gone.

Do you remember the Neon Grill? That is the one that brings me back to back in the day of Sixth Street. How about Barnaby's Beanery? I remember going to lunch with my mom there many times. It was one of her favorite places.

They closed back in 2012 and over the years it has sat empty. At one point Wild Bills was in that location.

But it has been empty since at least 2021 maybe earlier. It looks like it is about to get  new life into it again. The building was bought by Little Laos LLC back in February of this year.

From what I have been able to find on social media and there hasn't been a lot. The talk is that they are looking to open up soon.

I haven't been able to find a menu. I saw a question asking when the new Laos/Thai place was going to open. So I am excited about what the menu will probably be. I am going to keep an eye out on this location.

The fact that they have the artwork on the building excites me that it may be soon. I am looking forward to Barnaby's Beanery having new life in its building. It won't be long now.
