Simulated Reality Making an Interesting Hit in Amarillo
I hear it all the time that we have nothing to do in Amarillo. Those who say such nonsense of course would be wrong. You just have to know where to look. If you are looking for activities, we have them. If you want live music there is tons to go out and enjoy.
If you are looking for more of an experience. Well, we have stuff you would enjoy too. I started to see some posts about a simulated universe experience here in Amarillo. So that really did pique my interest. What does that even mean?
The more I was reading about it I saw that it was being compared to Meow Wolf. OK, but what is that? My daughter and her friends were going to check that out the last time they were in Las Vegas. She liked it enough that they wanted to go back when they were in Denver. They ran out of time. OK, they saw one was being added in Grapevine. OK, closer to home for them in the Dallas area.
For whatever reason, that project has been delayed. OK, she and her friends are here in Amarillo for now. Oh, Amarillo is not going to be one-upped by Dallas. No, we have an experience here.
It's called Synchronicity. Oh, and when you drive by it seems like just a house on Tenth Street. In fact, it used to be just a house that was a bail bond place for the longest time. Not anymore. It is now a tourist attraction here in Amarillo. You can find it at 1215 SW 10th.
One that I am looking to try out soon. According to Crystal:
Not a restaurant but.. i’ ve been dying to visit one of the meow wolf locations but I haven’t been able too, so I was thrilled to see this place open in Amarillo. It’s called Simulated Universe It was SO COOL. So many hidden details and passages, even a moving book case! I highly recommend. People always complain about not having anything to do here, please check this out!!
So I am looking forward to trying it out for myself soon. It's an interactive museum with multiple dimensions. Something that needs to be experienced. I am definitely taking my daughter with me, who has been to Meow Wolf.
I will have to bring my granddaughter with us, because, no babysitter, but I feel she will enjoy the stuff to look at. The only thing is it costs $22 per person. I have to remember this is a local family trying to make sure this concept survives. So of course support Amarillo. Which is exactly what we are going to do.
