September is right around the corner. That means the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo is right around the corner. It's so close that tickets are going on sale soon.

How soon? July 16 there will be a flash sale. You'll be able to purchase mega passes, wristbands, and gate admission at a discount.

I have high hopes this year for the Tri-State Fair. Last year, my wife and I really wanted to take our kids out for a day of fair food and rides. Unfortunately, we all know why we weren't able to.

Looking through the Tri-State Fair's website, it looks like it is going to be what we all expect. There are tons of events lined up. I noticed a listing for Crabtree Amusements. That means the rides will be there too.

Personally, I'm the most excited about the food. It's the one part of any fair that I always look forward to.

I can't wait to get my hands on a fried Oreo, or some fried ice cream. Fried Twinkies are always a safe bet. Of course, you can't go wrong with funnel cake or anything that comes on a stick.

The Tri-State Fair kicks off on September 17 and goes through the 25. The rodeo will be September 23 through the 25.

Not a bad way to spend my birthday.

The Tri-State Fair also signals the beginning of a very busy time of year. After the fair, we have Halloween to look forward to. Then, there's Thanksgiving in November. We'll wrap up 2021 with Christmas and New Year's in December.

I'm really looking forward to the holiday season this year, and it all gets started in September with the Tri-State Fair.
