What’s Happening with Vexus in Amarillo?

It wasn't that long ago that Vexus came into our market and gave us a new option for internet, phone, and cable services. It was like a breath of fresh air having new choices. They are still in the area, don't get me wrong.

You can still sign up and get your internet through Vexus, although they have seemed to focus more on internet services, which is not a huge surprise. I have a lot of friends who use Vexus and have been very happy with their service.

What Happened to Vexus Cable and Phone?

Losing the cable options wasn't ideal for them, but the internet is really pretty good. So, yes, Vexus Internet is still a viable option in the area.

What Has Changed with Vexus in Amarillo?

There used to be a time when you could stop at the office on I-40 and Georgia in Wolflin Square. You can still see the office from I-40. The issue is that the building is now locked and empty.

Customers received an email from them letting them know that there will be a new billing platform along with new customer account numbers:

We appreciate your business and your loyalty to Vexus Fiber! As part of our ongoing improvement efforts, we will be moving to a new billing platform that offers more options for our customers. We will be transitioning your account to our new platform between May 15th and June 15th and have outlined below what that means for you. Additional details will follow over the next month. We’re here to ensure you have a smooth transition!

The thought is that possibly a new company came in and bought them out. That is where the new account numbers and closed business came in. Early in May, a current customer went by the location to pay his bill and saw employees boxing up their belongings.

How to Pay Your Vexus Bill Now

So, no, you can not stop at the location anymore to pay your bill or drop off equipment. You can go to a Walmart to make your payment for same-day posting to your account. Most everything else is handled online now. Vexus is still in the area and may have new owners; that is what has changed.
