Will Amarillo Have Korean BBQ Any Time Soon? Signs Point to Yes

I don't know why it seems every time we hear about a new place coming to Amarillo we end up having to wait. I mean case in point Buc-ee's. We found out about getting one almost a year ago. Here we are still waiting.

The same thing happens when we find out about restaurants. How long did we wait for Panera Bread? Since the pandemic first hit. Don't get me started on Roll Em Up Taquitos. It seems we wait longer and longer for places to open here. What is the hold-up?

The latest tease of a restaurant has got to be Volcano. They are supposed to be our soon-to-be Korean BBQ place. I say soon-to-be but is it really? There has been talk since Fuddrucker's closed at the beginning of last year about what was going to go in that spot.

Then we found out. The concept seems really interesting. Then it seemed like a standstill. Nothing. At least I felt a little better when they actually started working on the building. They got a sign up at the place. That is good news, right? I think that happened before Christmas.

Then we just waited again. I even messaged them trying to get some kind of response. Any idea when they will be opening? I will tell you what finally gave me a glimmer of hope that this place was indeed coming.

They are starting to hire people. Well, they are looking for a manager. Which of course is the first puzzle piece that is needed. Once they get managers and they get trained then I am assuming they will start looking for the rest of their staff.

This seems really encouraging. Yes, we are going to be getting Volcano and they will be in fact opening up. Hopefully, by the look of things that will be before Buc-ee's seems to get here but who knows for sure.
