Even with the Sod Poodles announcing that there would be no season this year, we still found a way to have baseball in Hodgetown in 2020. The season was short lived, and many were wondering if that would be all that Hodgetown had to offer this year.

Yesterday, the announcement was made that Hodgetown will be having movie nights for families to enjoy. It will be the first ever on-field movie night at the ballpark downtown.

According to a press release from the Sod Poodles, there will be many seating options available including on-field. The movie being shown will be Trolls: World Tour.

The movie night at Hodgetown is scheduled for August 28, one week from this upcoming Friday. Gates will open at 7 PM, and the movie will start at 8 PM.

They do stress that social distancing will be enforced, and masks are required when you enter and exit the ballpark, and when you are moving about the stadium. They can be removed when you are seated.

Concessions will be available, and there are several different "food packages" that you can order. From the "tailgate meal suite" to family movie meal packs that include popcorn, candy, and drinks.

Group hospitality options offered are a Tailgate Meal suite, which includes hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, cookies, and canned sodas, for $320, or a Movie-Night Snack suite, which includes a choice of 10 candy-item mix and match - Cotton Candy, M&M's Peanuts, M&M's, Sour Patch Kids, and Skittles, 10 Drinks - Sierra Mist, Mt Dew, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and Water, Bottomless Popcorn, and Bottomless Peanuts for $200.  Individual bowl seats are $6 per seat. A Family Movie Meal Pack is available for purchase which includes two candy choices, two buckets of popcorn, and four drinks for $25. Standard concessions will also be open for individual-item ordering.
