This grocery store in Amarillo has been a long time coming. It was a slow process at first. There was an announcement and a groundbreaking for the newest Market Street back in 2022. Then we just sat and waited.

At the groundbreaking, it was announced that the new store would open in late 2023. They did get part of that correct. It was late. Oh, but things take time and we are pretty sure it's going to be worth the wait.

The wait is over and the Market Street at 8761 Coulte Street is getting ready to celebrate. They have done the hiring. They are putting on the finishing touches. The newest Market Street in Amarillo is ready to have a ribbon cutting and open to the public.

Amarillo is ready for this new shopping location. Since the original Market Street opened back in 2000 it has been the lone Market Street concept in Amarillo. That is all going to change in September.

The ribbon cutting is happening on September 10th, kicking off at 11 am. The newest addition to the United family will be officially opened to the public on September 11th. A second location that has taken twenty-four years to happen.

It is a very welcomed location to the neighborhood. A shiny new place to get your weekly grocery shopping done. A place with a United Express so that you can use your rewards to save money on gas.

We are a few weeks away from something Amarillo has needed for a while. This brings the count to two Market Streets and six Uniteds in the Amarillo area with one also in Canyon. Those numbers are looking great.
