Amarillo Moving Brush Drop Off To Landfill
Amarillo is closing its brush drop off sites.
It was a good idea and convenient for residents but thanks to illegal dumping and the constant fire risk, it has been decided to shut down the sites. Residents will now be asked to take their waste brush to the landfill.
The new site at the landfill will be fenced and monitored by a guard to ensure only brush will be dumped at the site. Residents will not be charged to drop off brush but tree trimming businesses will pay a fee.
The four brush sites will close September 22nd but the site at the landfill is already open for use.
