The thing I love about being referred to as the "foodie queen of Amarillo" is that when new places come or go, people let me know. As soon as a word hits, I will start to get text messages or be tagged in social media posts. Having the help of friends in Amarillo that make sure I don't miss anything is great.

The latest news was about a new place coming to Amarillo's Westgate Mall. It was about time for some new places to move in. It had been awhile since we lost a couple of places. So the time was right.

Amarillo's Westgate Mall is Getting a Food Court Addition

There is a new place moving into the vacant spot that Alfredo and the Rotinis left. If the place sounds familiar, it should. We got word that Rotor City  Indian Fusion Kitchen was moving into the Westgate Mall Food Court. Rotor City was a successful food truck that disappeared about a year ago.

Now it looks like they are coming back. The wheels are gone and they will be moving into a much more permanent location in the mall. According to a recent social media post introducing the move, it's going to be a build your own Indian Fusion concept:

Build Your Own Indian Fusion, coming soon
Westgate Mall Food-court
You will be able to pick a base (rice, burrito, naan tacos, naan wraps), pick a protein
(chicken, beef, paneer, gyro meat, grilled veggies), sauces (tikka, hariyali, tikka queso, etc), pick veggies, cheese, and topping sauces.
It's so new that they haven't removed the plastic wrap from the location in the mall. So keep an eye out for the grand opening inside Westgate Mall.
