Here Are My 3 Classic Rock Songs To Help Bring In The New Year
Counting down from 10 to bring in the new year is so last year. And the year before that. And every year before that.
This year, I put together a small list of tunes you could use to bring in the new year with style.
All you have to do is load one of the songs up, and then start it at just the right time. You'll bring in the new year with an epic moment in rock, instead of trying to dodge a kiss from a drunk stranger.
This will be easiest with a clock that has a second hand, or at least shows you the seconds.
KISS - Rock and Roll All Nite Live/Single Version
Kick this one off at 11:57:58. You'll be shouting, "Happy New Year!" right as the instruments come back in after the break, leading right into a guitar solo for you to smooch and toast to.
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Want to count down to the new year with one of the most bad ass drum solos ever as your soundtrack? Me too. Kick this one off at 11:57:18 and confetti will be flying right as Neal wraps up one of my all time favorite drum solos.
the Who - Won't Get Fooled Again - Original Album Version
This is the one I'm going with personally. I love the Who, and I can't think of a better way to bring in the new year than with Roger belting out the most iconic "yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaah" in all of Rock N Roll. Start the track at 11:52:15 and have the most epic "Happy New Year!" possible.
