If You Love Live Music, There Is Still Plenty Of It In Amarillo
This year has been tough on everyone. Restaurants and bars have been hit especially hard by shutdowns and new regulations.
One group that might get overlooked is musicians. Especially touring musicians who had made their art their full time job. For others, it supplements their full time job.
A quick glance on Facebook, and I was surprised to see a hand full of live music nights being planned in town. It looks like there is still plenty of live music to go around in Amarillo.
There are still open mic nights and karaoke nights being held in town. There's also acoustic nights and full band nights being planned this week.

These are unprecedented times we're living in. Almost none of us have lived through something like Covid-19. While a portion of our community wants to complain about restrictions and guidelines, there is another segment that is looking at finding ways to continue on as close to normal as possible.
I like that second group.
Earlier this year I made a habit out of highlighting local businesses who were adapting in creative ways to all of the new rules and guidelines. Curbside pickup and delivery became the way you got everything from vinyl records to board games and groceries.
