Over a week ago we saw a post about an announcement coming from the Amarillo Venom. Last February was when they made the announcement that there would be no season for the 2022 season.

That was it. They were done. They, though, were looking for someone to buy the franchise. So maybe this announcement had something to do with that. The Amarillo Venom had been a part of our community for years.

I was a part of the Venom for a few years. I was sad to see them go. I understood why. The team was ran by the Tucker family and they had a lot of changes in their own family. Kids growing up and career changes for both Stephanie and Toby. Both of them heading to Canyon and that left no time for the Amarillo Venom. I get it. But this announcement. Was there going to be more Venom in our future? Possibly.

Then the press conference happened. So if you are ready for more Venom Football that is exactly what we will be getting.

The Venom are under new ownership of Larry Clark, AIF League Owner, and Rick Kranz, General Manager of the Amarillo Venom. The new ownership is promising an upcoming season with thrilling fusion of athleticism, entertainment, and community engagement that has become synonymous to the Venom brand. So it seems like that is not going to change. It is what we expect from the Amarillo Venom.

The Venom will still be offering high energy games like we have grown to love. The Venom will still be highly visible in the Amarillo community. That will not change. The Venom will now be under the ownership of  Fun13 Sports, LLC.

Amarillo will be eagerly awaiting the start of the 2024 season and finally having some indoor football back in our house.
