The Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office is looking to identify suspects after a Tuesday night fire was ruled an arson. The Amarillo Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 403 South Kentucky on Tuesday night at 8:50pm. The first units on the scene found fire coming from the rear of a home. Neighbors told firefighters that people may still be in the home, however, no one was found after the fire was extinguished. It was later determined that the occupants were able to leave the burning home and were safely located nearby. The fire was ruled under control 20 minutes later at about 9:10pm. No injuries were reported, however the home is ruled a total loss. It took a total of 6 units to gain control of the fire.

After the fire was extinguished, the Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office was called into investigate and later determined the cause to be arson. Local officials are looking for anyone with information on suspects to call the Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office at (806) 378-3573.
