This year really was shaping up to be a good one at the Civic Center. We had ZZ Top, Bob Dylan, Styx, and several more big acts scheduled to come through town. Then, Covid-19 happened.

The Styx concert has been officially postponed until 2021. I know there were several of us in town excited to see Styx perform in Yellow City. Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait.

The interesting thing about the postponement is the date the concert has been rescheduled for. Styx will be in town on Valentine's Day, Feb 14, 2021.

So, if you're needing a positive spin on this, I would say at least you have a Valentine's date already lined up. You and your significant other can go see Styx.

The Civic Center website does have information regarding VIP packages that are available. There are three options, two of which get you in for the pre-concert meet and greet with the band. The packages that contain the meet and greet also give you a chance to have your photo taken with the band.

Not a bad way to celebrate surviving a pandemic.

Hopefully we are able to rebound next year and pick up where we left off in 2020. There was a period of time in late 2019 and early 2020 when it seemed like every week I was getting info on a new concert being scheduled.

Personally, I would love to see the Bob Dylan show rescheduled. As much as I love ZZ Top, I have a feeling seeing them in concert would be an easier feat to accomplish than Bob Dylan. It would be absolutely fantastic if they were able to book Bob and Nathaniel again, but I doubt it could happen.
