This week, everyone in Texas that is at least 18 years of age is eligible to get the Covid-19 vaccine. To further help make getting the vaccine as easy as possible, United Supermarkets is among the several places that will be ramping up their efforts to help as many people as possible.

In a press release yesterday, United Supermarkets announced that they are doing vaccine clinics at communities across Texas. So far, they've immunized 69,000 Texans according to the press release.

I'm not going to point out how convenient it would be to get the vaccine at the same place I get my groceries. It takes "one-stop" shopping to a new level.

The vaccine rollout in Amarillo has garnered national attention. After making headlines for the infection rate in our area, it was nice to see us set the bar when it comes to getting the community immunized.

We have several options available. That includes the walk-in clinic downtown at the Civic Center Complex.

A friend of mine got the vaccine yesterday at the walk-in clinic, and they told him that in the afternoons there usually isn't much of a wait at all. In fact, it took him all of a half-hour tops to go through the whole process.
