Two Thank Yous? No, Thank You! There Can Only Be One Billboard in Amarillo That Says This
It was just a few weeks ago that I noticed an unfinished Amarillo billboard. Well, at least that is what it turned out to be. When I made that discovery I also discovered something else. That new billboard looked an awful lot like another one very close by.
I mean they basically said the same thing but for two different agents at two different companies. They were about a block away from each other on the same street. One was near Market Street on Georgia. The other was by Quick Quack also on Georgia.
I mean I get it both want to say thank you to Amarillo for different things. One for being voted Best Insurance Agent and one for being in Amarillo for twenty years.
It just seemed strange that one went up so close to the other one. So I decided to keep an eye on it. If I knew Jason Chafe I figured he would change his soon. Oh, and he did.
Now I reached out to him because we have been friends since the time I worked for the Amarillo Bulls. He had a close partnership with them and with the now Amarillo Wranglers.
Heck, Jason is a a heck of a hockey player, if you didn't already know that about him. I wanted to know if the change had anything to do with the new billboard. He assured me that it didn't it was just time to change it out.
According to Jason:
I’m always wanting to be original, personal, and trend-setting. My thank you to my community for voting us best in Amarillo needed to be updated anyway to 2023. I’m always grateful to represent my community!
He was ready for an updated billboard and he says billboards have always been a part of his business for the last 10 years and personal is important to him. Since his thank you has been up there for awhile, it was time to update. He wanted a new message.
He also knows how frustrating it is to not be able to talk to a real person. So it was a good time to let Amarillo know you can talk to him. You can catch him in his office, on the phone, or at a Wrangler's game. I mean he is around Amarillo and is ready to help anyone.
