WATCH: Our Collection Of Amarillo’s Greatest Hits On “COPS”
COPS is one of the greatest things to ever happen to TV programming. The drama, action, and pure insanity at times make it hard to peel your gaze from the screen as you watch the events unfold.
That doesn't mean that the show is simply shock fueled entertainment. It's also incredibly educational. In this greatest hits of Amarillo on COPS we learn that:
- You can not take a taser from an officer.
- Cardio. Cardio. Cardio.
- Police officers aren't bears. Sleep/playing dead is not a valid defense.
- Don't take your work home with you.
- Your outfit says a lot about you.

Sleep Isn't A Valid Defense
This is a classic tale of "bad to worse" when a couple is found parked in a car without a license plate. The guy claims he's just charging his phone. The lady pretends to be sleeping.
Everything is fine, until she stands up.

Don't Take Your Work Home With You
This poor delivery guy is just trying to do his job when someone pulls a gun on him and demands his money. When officers find a suspect, they also discover several "tools" and the "gun" used in the attempted robbery.
