What Fast Food Restaurant Is Missing In Amarillo?
One thing Amarillo has seen a lot of lately is new businesses opening. A good chunk of those has been new restaurants for us to enjoy.
Even with all the different restaurant openings, we still find ourselves griping about what restaurants should REALLY be opening.
Reddit (my favorite place) popped up a poll asking what should be built next in Amarillo. The two options were Five Guys and Jack in the Box. We already have a Five Guys, so the resounding vote was for Jack in the Box. To be honest, I could go for their tacos right about now.
However, people started commenting on random restaurants that we need in Amarillo. Let me tell you that some of them that were suggested I would highly agree with. Here are a few suggestions that were made that I'm totally on board with.
CULVERS
OMG yes, please PLEASE bring a Culver's to Amarillo. Look, their burgers are solid and I have no problem scarfing down one of their famous butter burgers, but one thing they offer that I haven't seen at any fast food place is a pork tenderloin sandwich. On the real, they are super solid at Culver's and I'm in the mood for one as we speak.
TACO CABANA
Here's a place my family used to frequent when we lived in Austin. I understand that Taco Villa pretty much has the city on lock, but there is something about Taco Cabana that I just can't get enough of. I can order nearly anything on the menu and be super satisfied with it. Apparently, they were here but got ran out. Let's try it again.
IN-N-OUT
Here's the ultimate love-it-or-hate-it kind of restaurant. Personally, I love me a double-double with cheese. Add in the fact that they are still probably one of the lowest-priced fast food joints around for what you get and I'm all in for an In-N-Out in Amarillo.
BILL MILLER BBQ
Look, we live in Texas. We all love us some BBQ, but finding good BBQ on the go can be tough. Bill Miller is one spot that I could go to and know I wouldn't be disappointed with the fact that I got drive-thru BBQ. Not to mention they've got some solid breakfast tacos.
HAWAIIAN BROS
Here's one I hadn't even heard of until a couple of years ago. They built one of these in the little city I lived in near Austin shortly before we made the move to Amarillo. We went in to give it a try, and I was hooked. Something different and unique, yet still super solid. Oh yeah, they offer Dole Whips. If you haven't had one, look them up. Life changing.
