Amarillo’s Buc-ee’s is Officially Hosting a Groundbreaking
It's been a long time coming and it can't get here fast enough. I am talking about Buc-ee's here in Amarillo. Ever since news broke early last year that is all we have been talking about.
When is it going to happen? When will they open their doors? Are they going to have an official groundbreaking? Yes, they have started work. They have the 'Coming Soon' trailers.
I unofficially heard that the groundbreaking was going to be sometime in October or November. Turns out that the information was correct. Bucee's has come out with news on their groundbreaking:
Buc-ee’s, home of the world’s cleanest bathrooms, freshest food, and friendliest beaver, will break ground on its new travel center in Amarillo, Texas, on Friday, October 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. CDT. Buc-ee’s will celebrate the start of construction with a ceremony attended by local leaders who helped make the project possible.
So for all of you non-believers out there this has to cement the deal. Or are you going to wait until you actually walk through those doors and make your first purchase? It will be here before you know it.
I have yet to step foot inside any Buc-ee's so I figured our very own location would be the perfect time. It will be more memorable.
According to a press release, this is what you need to know about our Amarillo Buc-ee's:
Located at 9900 East Interstate 40, Buc-ee’s Amarillo will occupy 74,000 square feet and offer 108 fueling positions and 24 EV charging stations. Buc-ee’s favorites including Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky, and fresh pastries will all be available. Visitors will find thousands of snack, meal, and drink options, as well as the same award-winning restrooms, cheap gas, quality products, and excellent service that have won the hearts, trust, and business of millions in the South for over 40 years.
So now all we have to do is watch the progress happening at Airport Boulevard. We can count down the days until we can walk through those front doors in our very own city.
