Is Buc-ee’s Groundbreaking in Amarillo Happening Soon?

It's been over a year and a half since I first mentioned the idea that Amarillo could be getting a Buc-ee's. Oh, and I do remember how unkind a lot of people were to me. How could I believe we were getting a Buc-ee's? Well, I had a pretty trustworthy source.

Here we are and still no Buc-ee's but from what I hear we are getting close. I reached out to the folks at Buc-ee's to see when we could be breaking ground. They are not saying much. So here we are.

We do know that Amarillo is getting one. We are so ready. So when I get a message from my trust-worthy buddy I tend to believe him. He is the one who told me we were getting one in the first place. It is going to be out near his work. So when I say he is totally vested in this story, as everyone else in Amarillo tends to be. I believe what he says.

What did the message say? News on a ground-breaking. Something that hasn't been mentioned yet. I mean I know it is going to happen, but when. Sooner. They are looking to break ground before the end of this year. It looks to be happening before the holiday season.

The sooner the better. Right?

So the project is moving forward and Buc-ee's will be here before you know it. I know we have been waiting patiently but once it breaks ground we can watch it become our reality right before our eyes. I can't wait. I will finally be able to say I have been to a Buc-ee's and it will be the one in our own backyard.
