Well I just stumbled upon an event that's going to make me do just that.

The Amarillo Public Library is holding their "Friends of the Amarillo Public Library Book Sale" and it's going on right now!

Here's how the whole thing works. if you are a "Friend of the Amarillo Public Library", meaning you pay the yearly membership to be in the program, you get first dibs. The program is $10 for individuals, $25 for families. Seems like a pretty good deal right?

If you aren't a member, it's ok. You can actually pay the fee at the door and get first crack at the sale.

There are limitations on how many people they're allowing in at once, so you need to sign up here if you want to get in this week.

If you aren't a member, and don't have interest in becoming one, it's ok. You can still participate, you'll just have to wait until next week. You can sign up here for the week of 4/10.

The first two weeks, you'll be able to fill up bags full of however many books and pieces of media you can fit in it for only $7.50 per bag! See a lot you want? You'll get a small discount by filing up three bags for only $20.

Now, if you want to save even more money, but have less of a selection to choose from, you can wait until the final week of the sale where you can stuff those bags for only $5 a piece! Keep an eye on this page for when you can sign up for that third week.
