Now, that's not to say it hasn't gotten a bit better in recent years. We're starting to see some bigger names make their way through the city.

One of the biggest names to come into Amarillo is The Beach Boys. They're set to take the stage at Amarillo Civic Center on September 23rd.

As if The Beach Boys weren't big enough already to make you want to go, this just may do the trick if you've been on the fence about it.

Rumors started running around that a certain someone was going to be joining them on stage for some shows on their tour, and now it's been confirmed.

None other than the legendary John Stamos will be taking the stage with The Beach Boys right here in Amarillo! This isn't a first for Stamos, he's been performing with the band on and off for over 30 years at this point.

The first time we got to see him with the band was in an episode of Full House. Don't remember the scene? Check it out.

Stamos has stayed busy since that episode, even being a part of the "Fuller House" series that launched a few years back. He's also done some work for Disney in a show called "Big Shot" that streams on Disney +.

If you haven't gotten your tickets for the show, you're going to want to do that right now. With the announcement of Stamos joining the band on stage, it's sure to bring in a whole new wave of people wanting to go.
