Amarillo’s Newest Food Truck Caters to Different Dietary Needs

This is Texas and I know as much as some people hate to say it Beef is not always what is for dinner. Some people don't eat meat. Dare I even say it? Oh, but it's true. There are different reasons that people have a meatless diet.

Some reasons are because they don't eat anything with a face. OK, I guess I can respect that. I couldn't do it but I get it. Some people have to go vegetarian or even vegan because of health reasons.

Some people just can't eat meat because it messes with them big time. So there are places here in Amarillo that cater to that dietary restriction. Which is really rather cool. Everyone should have places where they can eat.

There is a new food truck getting ready to open up It is called That Weird Place. OK, I like the name. They have all kinds of food on their menu and they are 100% vegan. There is no meat on their menu. You also will not find dairy or even eggs.

Looking at the menu everything is plant-based. I have tried several items that are plant-based and some I really loved. Some burgers I have had you can not even tell there was not any actual meat. It blew my mind.

So I checked out the menu and I think it's going to be pretty good.

That Weird Place will be opening up on July 18th. So that is just around the corner. You will find their food truck on South Western at 4117 Business Park Drive. They will be continuing to add to their menu but they will already start off with some good stuff.

You can get your wings, yes they will have all kinds of fries. You want a burrito? Yep, they will have those too. What about a cold salad on a hot day? Of course. This is Texas so they will also have BBQ options.

So give it a try when they open up. They may even surprise you.
