Amarillo We May Be Finally Getting a Much Needed Store in Town
Nothing made me happier than seeing something on Facebook recently. I was scrolling through when I came across a post from Coldwell Bankers. I like to follow them because sometimes you can get a jump on some new businesses coming to town.
Oh, and what I saw almost made me squeal with excitement. OK, there was no almost about it. If this is true then my pleads have been heard. There are a few stores that we go to when we are travelling that we know we need in Amarillo. I hear about Trader Joe's, H.E.B, and Whole Foods a lot. The crazy thing is I have not yet been to any one of those yet.
I have been to a HomeGoods. That is the place we frequent each and every time my daughter moves around the Dallas area. We inevitably always need something for the home. It's a one stop shop with a lot of items I don't necessarily see anywhere else.
We bought a cool lamp for her bedroom. When we found out she was having a baby we got a really cool toy box for her. Once I started shopping there in Dallas I thought man Amarillo really needs one.
I reached out to the folks at HomeGoods back in July to see if this could be a reality. I thought the former SteinMart location would be great for them. I heard back from them. It was not the answer I was wanting. Their response:
Although we appreciate your inquiry, HomeGoods has not announced a new store for Amarillo, Texas at this time.
It's all about the words you used. They did say they haven't announced one yet. So did that mean there were plans in the works? Maybe because this is what I saw yesterday from Coldwell Bankers on Facebook.
Now this post was letting us know about the new Milan location. That is not what a lot of people have focused on. Look what is listed next to Ross. It looks like in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond location we may be getting a HomeGoods. That is what it says.
I have reached out to both Coldwell Bankers and HomeGoods to get confirmation. Oh, Amarillo this is pretty cool. To Be Continued.......
