It’s Good to Be King When New Location is Added in Amarillo
It's great to see empty buildings finding people to move in. We have had several strip malls and business areas recently that have had empty spaces. As they start to fill up that can only be good news for Amarillo.
There has been a building that has one section empty on Georgia Street for some time now. We have been watching on the daily as work was being done. That only means one thing. Someone was moving in. Who was it going to be?
We watched for a few weeks hoping for some little hint. Someone was taking over the space at the 2300 block of Georgia. There was already a Cricket Wireless there. A Fred Loya Insurance. Battery Joe was there to take up part of the business area as well.
Just one empty puzzle piece being put together. Just the other day the sign was finally put up. The mystery has been solved.
There is a Smoothie King moving in on Georgia Street. We walk by this location four times a week while I am out training with a buddy. So we were rather excited about this. A cool smoothie on a hot day. Why not?
They are putting the finishing touches on this location. They have the banners going.
Just waiting for a Grand Opening date and sign. I feel this is a pretty busy area in Amarillo and it will be successful. The first Smoothie Kind moved into a location on Soncy back last year.
Now we are just waiting for the same announcement from the location on Georgia Street. It can't come soon enough.
