[REVIEW] New Amarillo Burger Place Causing a Stir on Social Media

It's not a job if you love what you are doing, right? That is what we are told. I can definitely say I love my job. I mean I get to try all of the new places and give my opinion. What is wrong with that? Nothing.

I recently saw on social media about a new place at 45th and Georgia called Charlie's Burgers and Brew. I am not sure what is up with all the places recently called Charlie's. There was an ice cream place, now closed. There was a restaurant downtown, also closed. So I am hoping in the battle of the Charlie's this sticks around.

I have seen a lot of good reviews. One restaurant page I followed had a review and then this little shop got hit hard with guests. What a good problem to have. They do not have a huge menu. Burgers and hot dogs.

Oh, but they do add stuff every week on Facebook that you can try. Their chicken fried steak recently looked delicious. I may have to go back and try that.

So from the reviews, I knew I had to try it out and see what I thought. The talk on social media was that it is a winner.

Charlie's Burgers & Brew Review

I opted for the hamburger combo I had to add jalapenos to mine. Of course. The burger was bigger than the bun. The bun was as soft as can be. Oh, and those fries. I kept hearing about how good those fries were. They were not wrong. You can tell they are not out of a package.

I had them take off the mayo on my burger but I was good with all of the veggies. They grilled both the onions and the jalapenos. Oh, and there were a lot of grilled onions. Just the way it should be. The burger was seasoned perfectly.

I had decided to go inside and order so I could see the inside of the restaurant. They also have a drive-thru which I feel I will also utilize.

I waited about ten to fifteen minutes for my food but they make it fresh. I had nowhere to be and I was glad I wasn't in a hurry. That burger though.

My only complaint was I wish they had a bigger to-go cup. I know if I had dined in I would get refills but the cup was a little small. Heck, if that is the worst I could say. I just wanted more iced tea once I got home.

It's one of those places that you leave smelling like the food. I am ok with that too. If you are going to smell like anything good food is a winner. So Charlie's Burgers and Brews is here. You can go in and order or call in at (806) 678-8647. Either way, I think you will enjoy your meal.
