Amarillo is a fun city to watch. We get one business. It succeeds and they start popping up all over the place. Look around and see how many coffee places we have. A lot.

There was a time when we didn't have any Quick Quack car washes. Then they started opening up. If memory serves me right the location on Georgia Street was one of the first ones. Now we have seven.

I remember taking my daughter through that one on Georgia Street when she was little. Boy, how did it freak her out for some reason? Now we take her daughter. Yes, it freaks her out too. Something about a car wash makes the kids cry. They even recently put up this really cool show on the windshield to make them smile. I guess our family is not alone.

With the Georgia Street location being around so long the one thing that hasn't changed much about them are the vacuums. That being the location I always went to I can vouch that those vacuums sucked. Oh, and not in the way a vacuum should suck. They were the worst and had no suction.

I, over the years, seemed to know which ones worked the best and would wait until one was open to use. I would drive by other locations and notice how much nicer their vacuums were. Oh, and how much better they worked.

I was frustrated at the vacuums at the Georgia Street location but not enough to go somewhere else. It was in my neighborhood.

Oh, but It looks like that is all going to change. I drove by on Friday and saw the parking lot of the Quick Quack under construction. Even better all of the vacuums were gone. The area was behind a fence. They are getting replaced.

I couldn't be more excited. Yes, it's a mess right now. The location has not closed but there are no vacuums right now. I can't wait to get the new ones up and running. This is great news. Our vacuums are going to suck again. My car can't wait.
