Good News – Amarillo’s Very First Buc-ee’s Sighting

With all of the driving I do around Amarillo trust me I notice things. Especially things that seem to come with the status of the Buc-ees here in Amarillo. That has been the talk of the town since we first had rumors and then confirmation that the most powerful beaver was coming to town.

I can't help but take a look every time I get near their future location at Airport Boulevard. Now when you are driving on I40 East it is not easy to spy. So you need to make that exit. That is ok. A little extra time near greatness is not bad.

We all know that the Buc-ees is supposed to open in February of 2025 and that is a mere seven month away. Though I am still betting it will be sooner than that. This has been a long time coming.

I am still excited to let this be the very first Buc-ees that I will ever have stepped foot into. I drive by them all of the time when I visit my daughter in Dallas. There is just something about having the first be right here in Amarillo. So I feel I am a little bit more excited.

The one thing that has been missing from the construction site is anything permanent that actually identifies what it is. You know like an image or logo with Buc-ee. Yes, there is and has been the Coming Soon trailer but that is going away when the store opens.

So besides that one little trailer, there is nothing identifying that this is indeed a Buc-ees. I mean I know. You know. We all know the greatness that is going in there.

Oh, but wait. There has been a Buc-ees logo spotted elsewhere. We are getting there. The gas pumps. There have been a few spotted on location. Oh, and who is that we see with our little eyes?

Of course, it is Buc-ee. Welcome to Amarillo and thank you for getting us a step closer to those first steps inside our very own Buc-ees location in Amarillo.
