Amarillo’s Buc-ee’s Update – The Pictures Don’t Lie

It's been almost two years since we first heard the words Buc-ee's and Amarillo in the same sentence. Don't worry I did not forget all the hate when I first broke the news that this was a possibility.

I mean the amount of "how stupid could you be to believe that we would get a Buc-ee's?" I guess I am getting the last laugh. I am glad that this was one of the rumors of Amarillo that turned out to be true.

So as I was taking a drive I wanted to get an update. How are we coming along in Amarillo? Is there a lot of movement at the location. I mean it's going to take a bit but you have to start a project to get to the moment that all the Buc-ee's faithful's can walk through those doors.

Things still have not changed for me. I still have never been to a Buc-ee's. I figured even with all the trips I make to the Dallas area to see my daughter I will wait. If I have waited this long I might as well make my first trip be to the one in Amarillo. It seems fitting.

Airport Boulevard Location Before the Buc-ee's News

So as I drove out to Airport Blvd. I was met with work being done. Oh, that is some good news. A great sign. Oh, and speaking of signs. There is definitely enough to let everyone know this is where Buc-ee's will be.

I mean first you will notice the billboard letting us know about another location. Well played. We really care about the location here in Amarillo. The fact that work is being done is great to see.

It's exciting to see movement out there. That means it really is happening. I know we have been told it would happen but to see it being done. That is what we really needed to see.

The proof is in the pictures. There is going to be a Buc-ee's in Amarillo. Really there is.

It won't be long until we can have our own Buc-ee's with all the great food. I can't wait to actually try Buc-ee's Nuggets.

Soon we will be able to buy all of our out-of-town family all sorts of Buc-ee's stuff for Christmas. Of course they will love it. We will be buying a lot of the same stuff for ourselves obviously.

Buc-ee's we can't wait.
