Canyon Restaurant Closing – Is This the End or Something Else?

It really does seem like every time we turn around there is another restaurant closed. It happens in Amarillo. It happens in Canyon. Heck, it happens all over. You would think as often as it happens it would get easier.

It does not. Sometimes we expect it. We watch as a restaurant goes downhill and are surprised it has lasted this long. We sometimes celebrate the fact that they are gone because maybe that means we will get something better.

Then there are those times when it happens unexpectedly. Those I think hit us pretty hard. We weren't able to get any type of closure. So we spend years reminiscing about those good ol' days and all the great food that now we miss.

Restaurants try to do their best to let us know about changes. I mean if they know about them. Sometimes they are blindsided just like we were. Other times they put signs up letting us know their fate.

I know we don't always see them in a timely fashion. So hopefully this will not end up coming as a surprise. If you want to stop at Sayakomarn's in Canyon you better go soon. Yes, they are closing.

They have a sign posted letting us know. They will be closing. The good news? They will be back. You will have to miss them but luckily only for a month.

So don't fear. I am sure there will still be people who will go online and panic. I mean I get it. If you don't see the sign or see the news online it might come as a surprise. The owners, though, just want a vacation.

They deserve it. So they want to head to Thailand. That is their plan. After a much-needed vacation, they will be back. You will just have to survive the long month without their great food.

So prepare and go in the next couple of weeks. You have been warned.
